De La Terre Pinot Noir
Wine
Bannockburn De La Terre Pinot Noir (meaning 'of the earth' in French) is grown on the flats and eastern slopes of the estate vineyard in Geelong.
Most of the fruit is destemmed and kept as whole berries, while a small percentage is retained as whole bunches. Fermentation takes place with natural yeasts.
After two weeks on skins, the wine is transferred to new and seasoned French hogsheads to mature for 12 months. The best barrels are then selected for the final blend.
Bright red, Bannockburn De La Terre Pinot Noir has fine, savoury tannins and well integrated oak. Cellaring potential is six years.
